Brock Lesnar exploded onto the MMA scene in 2007 like Ivan Drago in Rocky IV with his hulking stature and platinum-haired swagger. Fans expected no less from the fighter, who came from the posturing world of WWE. But Lesnar’s MMA career was cut short when, in the end of 2009, he had to pull out of a fight due to diverticulitis, a very serious colon disease that eventually required doctors to remove a foot of his large intestine in May 2011. Now, the 34-year-old Lesnar is looking to make a comeback with a scheduled fight against Alistair Overeem on December 30. And he credits Dymatize nutrition supplements with helping him get back into training form. “It hasn’t been easy,” said Lesnar. “But I have a great group helping me. Anita and the Dymatize team have been with me each step of the way. The Dymatize products have enabled me to bounce back faster and feel stronger about getting back in the cage for the December fight.” Just seven months after surgery, Lesnar is itching to get back in the octagon and show fans his health woes haven’t made him tap out. “I’m looking forward to the next couple of months of training,” he said. “I’m feeling great and I’m ready to show everyone I’m stronger than ever.” The upbeat Lesnar is a far cry from the smack-talking bully we saw in 2007, but if his physique says anything, he’s still a force to be reckoned with.
