What if I told you sports is rarely about, well, sports? For a few hours each night, men and women across the world step into the bright lights to compete against one another for their livelihoods and our enjoyment. But the lives they lead, the brands and cultures they represent, the hardships they face and overcome, the moments that define their failures and successes, and their ideals all say much more than a stat sheet ever could. In 2009 the Worldwide Leader in Sports began hiring top-level directors to explore these stories in their own unique ways. What was supposed to be 30 films is now well past 100, with more on the way.
