Not even cancer can slow down Jimmie Johnson. Last June, just days after skin cancer surgery, Johnson, 42, came from behind to win the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover International to pull into a tie with Cale Yarborough for all-time wins.
Johnson says “handing out thousands of business cards back in the day of fax machines” got him noticed. Today, the seven-time NASCAR champ is the best racer of his generation.
Still, Johnson is a simple guy. Asked how he’d celebrate after winning No.7 in 2016, he said, “I’m going to take an Easter trip with my family and definitely get in some margaritas, chips, and a little guacamole.”
