Top Players to Watch
Zion Williamson, F, Duke – Williamson has been the most exciting player in college basketball in a long time. Now healthy after a scary injury when he twisted his knee after blowing out of his actual shoe (watch the play here), Williamson will bring his incredible dunks to the NCAA Tournament for Duke.
Ja Morant, PG, Murray State – Morant has been one of the most impressive players in the NCAA this year behind Williamson, slotting in top 10 in the nation in points per game and leading in assists. He could be a top-3 overall pick in the NBA Draft after that season.
R.J. Barrett, G, Duke – While Williamson has been getting the majority of the headlines at Duke, Barrett has also been very strong and should be a top 10 pick in the NBA Draft. He’s been very productive while putting up 23 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game this season.
De’Andre Hunter, F, Virginia – Hunter will be looking to avenge the huge upset loss for Virginia last season when they lost as a number 1 seed against UMBC. Hunter has great size and athleticism and will be a major factor if the Cavaliers will make a run in the tournament.
Cameron Johnson, F, North Carolina – Johnson has been putting up strong numbers all year with career-bests in rebounding and steals while also shooting nearly 50 percent from long range. If the Tar Heels want another matchup with Duke in the finals, Johnson will have to step up.
Brandon Clarke, F, Gonzaga – The Bulldogs are back as a top seed in the tournament, and Clarke has been a major part of that. Clarke is an ace defender and he also has been able to use his athleticism to score from all over the floor for Gonzaga.Back to top
