The “Mannequin Challenge” is sweeping social media—so it was only a matter of time before pro ballers got in on the game.
From the gym to the practice field to the locker room, NFL teams, college football teams, pro soccer teams, celebrities, sports pregame shows, and NASCAR racing teams are getting in on the social media trend, posting videos of everyone frozen in action while one person takes a video of the scene.
The videos usually have music playing in the background—“Black Beetles” by rap duo Rae Sremmurd is a popular choice. October 2016 Men’s Fitness cover star Kevin Hart pulled off the challenge while working out in the gym, freezing in place with a barbell on his back:
The New York Giants pulled off one of the most elaborate videos of the challenge, showing off their locker room following a 28-23 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Ben McAdoo, quarterback Eli Manning, and rookie Sterling Shepard all got involved. (And don’t miss Odell Beckham Jr. helping Victor Cruz strap up a pair of his signature Nike Air Cruz trainers.)

The Giants weren’t the only pro sports team to get in on the craze. The Pittsburgh Steelers showed off their post-game locker room, while the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and the Milwaukee Bucks all went airborne for their contributions, doing the challenge while on their team planes:

The German soccer squad Borussia Dortmund followed Hart’s lead in the gym, slowing things down while training in the weight room:

NASCAR got in on the action with the Hendrick’s Motorsports team pulled off a challenge during the rain delay of their race, while the football pregame TV crews of FOX NFL Sunday and the SEC Network—Tim Tebow included—paused things mid-broadcast to take part in the trend:
