4. Boston Celtics vs. Oklahoma City Thunder – Fri, Nov. 3
Players to watch: Kyrie Irving (Celtics) and Carmelo Anthony (Thunder)
The Celtics have so far survived the heartbreaking injury to Gordon Hayward in the opening game of the NBA season, going 5-2 over their first seven games. Irving has been off to a strong start, leading the Celtics with 21.7 points and 5.7 assists per game to keep the offense rolling. The Thunder and Russell Westbrook are still getting used to having Paul George and Anthony on the floor together, but so far, it’s been working. Westbrook’s scoring is down from his record-setting 2016-17 MVP season, but his total assists and rebounds are up, according to ESPN. Anthony has been off to a strong start following his trade from the Knicks, leading the Thunder while averaging 22.9 points per game.
The Thunder host the Celtics on Friday, November 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.Back to top
