4. Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets – Thu, Nov. 9
Player to watch: Carmelo Anthony (Nuggets)
After being traded from the Knicks to the Thunder before the season, Anthony makes a return to Denver, where he spent the first seven years of his NBA career. Anthony had some fantastic offensive seasons with the Nuggets, leading them to the playoffs seven times and making it to the Western Conference Finals in 2009—the farthest he’s gone in his playoffs career. Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook returns to the scene where he broke Oscar Robertson’s record for most triple-doubles in a season during his 2016-17 MVP run. That game was quite a dramatic win for the Thunder, with Westbrook making a 36′ game-winner to finish off a 50-point, 16-rebound, 10-assist performance, which also eliminated the Nuggets from playoff contention. Could ‘Melo be the difference-maker in challenging Westbrook’s super-human ability?
We’ll find out when the Nuggets host the Thunder on Thursday, November 9 at 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
