The mighty “Thor” is ready to go to war.

New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard already revealed during spring training that he would appear on Game of Thrones for Season 7, but on Wednesday, April 13, he dropped some details about his cameo in an interview with Sports Illustrated.

As if his long, blond locks weren’t a dead giveaway already, Syndergaard revealed that he’ll be playing a Lannister soldier in the series. (As the Song of Ice and Fire Wiki reference guide notes, Lannisters are “fair-haired, tall, and handsome,” so yeah, the  6’6”, 240-lb Syndergaard fits the bill.)

As for the fate of his character? Syndergaard left it slightly ambiguous, but said that his character “either died or killed someone” in his scene.

The Mets flamethrower likely made Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss very happy by keeping the details close to the vest.

Syndergaard wouldn’t even name any other character that was in his scene, but said that, while he was only on the set for one day, the experience was one he’d never forget.

Syndergaard was also asked by SI about which Thrones characters his teammates Matt Harvey, Steven Matz, and Jacob deGrom would be:

No matter his fate on the show, Syndergaard’s body was ready for the role: During the 2016-2017 offseason, Syndergaard added 17 lbs of muscle to his already goliath frame.

How did he do that? Well, these all-Paleo, protein-packed “Bowls of Doom” helped him get the physique he was looking for.

Syndergaard already is one of the top 10 hardest-throwing pitchers in baseball, now he’ll bring that cannon to Game of Thrones this summer.

Game of Thrones hits HBO for its seventh season on July 16, 2017.
