Stephen Curry just made history. Again.
The Golden State Warriors guard was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the 2015-16 season on Tuesday—the second straight year Curry has won the award. As if that wasn’t a big enough feat, Curry was a unanimous winner of the MVP—the first time that has happened in NBA history.

Curry took all 131 first-place votes for the award, beating out Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs and LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers by a wide margin. Curry was expected to win his second consecutive MVP award after leading the Warriors to a single-season record of 73 wins this season—but the unanimous vote is unprecedented.
The Warriors guard has a knack for timing—Curry returned to the lineup for Golden State on Monday for the first time since spraining his right MCL in the first round of the playoffs.
Curry didn’t start the game for the Warriors, but he sure did finish. Curry scored 40 points—including a record 17 points in overtime—to help give Golden State a 3-1 series lead over the Portland Trail Blazers with the 132-125 overtime victory.

Blazers owner Paul Allen was stunned by what Curry did in overtime—and he instantly became the biggest NBA meme on social media this side of crying Michael Jordan. After Curry hit a three to push the Warriors’ lead to 128-120, the camera cut to Allen. His face said it all:
Even the owner of the Trail Blazers, Paul Allen, couldn't believe Steph Curry. https://t.co/go89j64oCB
