1. Brady fumbles the ball (and potentially the game) away
Arguably the biggest play of the night came with 2:16 left to play and New England at its own 33-yard line, as Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham stormed the Pats O-line and knocked the ball out of Brady’s hand. Philly rookie defensive end Derek Barnett recovered the ball, which led to a field goal that put the Birds up by eight points.
The Patriots had another chance to tie it up, but Brady’s Hail Mary fell short. The Eagles won their first championship since 1960, and the Pats lost for the third time in the big game in the Brady/Belichick era.
