The one thing making Foles’ touchdown catch even sweeter for Philly fans? Brady had dropped a pass on a similar play earlier in the game.
Early in the second quarter, prior to Foles’ display of athleticism, the Pats busted out a trick play of their own, as Brady headed out to catch a pass. It didn’t work out—even though he was wide open. This play pretty much summed up the night for New England, and had shades of Wes Welker in Super Bowl XLVI.Back to top
