It’s Rocky like you’ve never seen him before.
Sylvester Stallone unveiled a batch of rare photos from the set of Rocky IV on Wednesday, showing off the actor taking punches from Dolph Lundgren’s imposingly jacked Soviet boxer Ivan Drago and even stepping behind the camera during the filming of the 1985 Cold War cinematic classic.
The photos are pretty awesome:
Well we're on the subject a couple of more Rare photos
In his posts, Stallone wrote that he’d never seen some of the pictures before, and that it was “always a pleasure being smashed” by Lundgren while filming the movie.
Very rare photo… Never even saw this myself before today. Always a pleasure being Smashed by Dolph…
All the Rocky movies have great training montages, but the one from Rocky IV—scrambling up mountains, high-stepping logs through snow, “Dragon flags” in a barn—is an unquestioned classic. (We put together a list of all the exercises that Rocky went through during that montage and the others from the Rocky movies—but imitating the Italian Stallion’s famously tough workouts is up to you.)
Of all the movie fights I've had this guy was by far the most powerful… Trust me on that.
