From the friendly confines of the legendary Wrigley Field to the teenage Washington Nationals Park, these nine baseball stadiums will make you forget about Congressional hearings and juiced-up sluggers.
And the 10th stadium on the list? That was New York’s Yankee Stadium, which had its swan song in the 2008 season before being bulldozed in 2009 to make way for the Yankees’ controversial new stadium. It was enough to make any diehard baseball fan shed a tear. Though the ballpark, built in 1923, lacked the aesthetic of other historic baseball stadiums like Wrigley or Fenway, it’s still sorely missed among fans of the sport.
