Are the Minnesota Timberwolves going to steal the mantle of the NBA’s most fun team from the Golden State Warriors?
It's one of the laws of sports that no team remains universally loved for long, and this year is probably the year that the Warriors transition from being everyone's second team to being an established power who people will love to hate on. This leaves the mantle of everyone's second team open, and the team most likely to grab it is the Timberwolves. They have the league's next legitimate superstar, Karl-Anthony Towns, along with the guy who won last year's dunk contest (Zach LaVine, a skywalker who can also play, making him more Vince Carter and less Harold Miner), an eminently likable point guard who can throw passes that'd make Jason Williams's head spin (Ricky Rubio), and a guy who the entire NBA was salivating over two seasons ago as the best talent in the best draft in years (Andrew Wiggins).
