You’re probably already a focused, energized guy in the gym. But when the going gets tough, there’s nothing like some epic music to help you push through that final set or bang out those last few reps.
We here at Men’s Fitness have told you about the benefits of playing music while you exercise—it can help you change your mood, reduce stress, and even help focus your attention—and we have another set of tunes for you to check out.
Houston Texans star J.J. Watt—three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and all-around athletic marvel—has put together a playlist of a dozen songs that can help you dominate any workout. Watt released the playlist as part of Reebok’s “Hunt Greatness” campaign, which also includes a signature training sneaker, the JJI.
“If you’re not waking up trying to be the best athlete in the world, you’re not hunting greatness,” Watt says about his motivation. “Whatever your own personal greatness is—yours will be different than mine—hunt that every single day with a passion. It means going hard every single day, committing yourself to being the best.”
