Cleaning Solution #1: Toothbrush and Soap
A quick fix, requiring just a little patience, is some diluted dish soap and a toothbrush. You can really get into the crevices of the shoe (on the tongue under the laces, around the toe where it meets the vamp, along sole stitching). All you have to do is add a little dish soap (great for greasy stains) to lukewarm water and scrub with an old toothbrush.
