Researchers believe it is not a specific smell that causes the headaches, but rather, a combination of the synthetic ingredients in the formulas that trigger a reaction due to chronic exposure. If you suspect your headache is tied to your cologne, consider switching to natural fragrances, which do not use the same chemical compounds in its formulations.
