Paul Smith Leather Credit Card Wallet
Best for: Cards and minimal cash.
It’s fitting that Paul Smith, one of England’s most celebrated apparel designers, went to Spain to manufacture his Teal Credit Card Wallet. Talk about a party in your pants. The sea-and-sun palette all but screams Barcelona, long a favorite escape of Englishmen sick and tired of shaking out umbrellas under leaden skies. And its diminutive size makes it perfect as a passport companion. If you were on a boat heading, say, from Manchester to the Mediterranean, you’d want something like this in your pocket: small and neat, with six card slots, two pockets, and a top hatch for notes (bank or otherwise).
Speaking of money, there are a number of other, less expensive versions of this design (different colors and leather) available, but they’re made in Italy. The difference is the quality of the handiwork and materials. The Spanish leather is smooth and supple, and with or without the Catalonian colors, this little wallet is just nice to carry around. Interestingly, American dollars are too wide to fit in the large compartment. But maybe that’s the point. [$225; paulsmith.co.uk]Back to top
