Proponents of the standard puffer prefer lining to the all-weather protection of leather. They’re half right, but they’ve discounted the relative flexibility of leather to also insulate. A low collar cut leaves for a dress down with a hoodie or a pop of shirt collar on those clear-but-cold days out, and a quick unzip takes you from bracing conditions to a little break in the below-zero climate where you can let the sun warm your torso. It also keeps the studs at a minimum from comparably shiny heavyweight alternatives. [$1350; lot78.com]
