Natural Vs. Organic Products

Most guys think the terms “natural” and “organic” are interchangeable. Nope. Generally, natural products are derived directly from nature. Organics are similar, but their ingredients are grown without most conventional pesticides or fertilizers. But is going green the best strategy? Not everyone thinks so. “I’d rather see guys choose ingredients based on effectiveness than on whether it is or is not organic or natural,” says West Palm Beach, FL, cosmetic dermatologist Kenneth Beer, M.D. “Poison ivy is all-natural and organic, but you wouldn’t want to put it on your face.” A few natural and organic products worth trying:

Aveda Men Pure-Formance Shampoo and Conditioner, $18 @ Both carry the Gold Cradle to Cradle seal, a certification awarded for intelligent design and sustainability.
