Hermès Slim d’Hermès Perpetual Calendar
This fabulous novelty piece is chock full of comforting design details — from the lugs that form a right angle to the original typography created by graphic designer Philippe Apeloig to mark the hours. Characterized by stencil Arabic numerals, the perpetual calendar in rose gold features an Hermès manufacture H1950 ultra-thin 2.6mm movement and 42-hour power reserve supplemented by an Agenhor perpetual calendar module and a further-slimming micro-rotor, distinguished by the “sprinkling of H” motif in back. Time is displayed via the simplistic hours, minutes, and seconds markers, while the moonphase indication is housed in natural white mother-of-pearl against an aventurine glass sky. Graphic, yes, but the light and airy nature of the watch allows it a pleasing aura.
