Time Keeping Cameras
For the Tour de France, Tissot developed the two time keeping cameras (seen above) that take 2,000 pictures of the finish line per second each (yes, 2,000 per second) to ensure the most accurate results for each leg of the race. That data is fed into computer and manned by actual people that get results in a matter of seconds. The top 10 finishers, even in extremely close races, take less than 30 seconds to decipher. That is some time keeping technology.
But let’s not forget, Tissot also makes stylish watches for athletes and amateurs alike. Click to the next slide to see their limited edition Tour de France style.
