Canada Sports Road Trip
Although the cold weather might deter you, there’s really no better way to experience Canadian culture than going up there in the fall or winter. If you have a few days and time it right, you can see two of the Original Six NHL teams in Toronto and Montreal, the Senators in Ottawa, and possibly catch Drake using a lint roller at a Toronto Raptors game.
If you’d rather skip the basketball altogether (when in Rome…), spend an afternoon at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, see a Maple Leafs game, then head to Montreal, get a meal at Joe Beef, and finish things off by going and gawking at all of the championship banners at the Bell Center as you watch the P.K. Subban and the Canadians try and raise another. All in all, you’re looking at about six or seven hours driving. Not a bad trip considering all the hockey you can catch, and all the hearty food you’ll probably eat.
