Gresham Palace Budapest
Old world grandeur at its finest, Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest is located at the end of the Chain Bridge, considered one of the most magnificent structures of its kind in the entire world.
Completed in 1906, this is as close to The Grand Budapest Hotel as you’re going to find. An art nouveau landmark with a modern edge inside, the experience alone is worth having. But it would be pretty hard to top staying here and picking the tower suite for approximately $1,500 (American) a night.
With its views of the famous bridge, the Danube, Buda Hills, and Royal Castle, this spacious room is perfect for a small family, and includes a marble bathroom with a deep soaking tub and a glass-walled shower. And although you’ll no doubt want to take in the local flavor, Gresham Restaurant, located adjacent to the hotel’s lobby, serves both Hungarian and Italian food, and has the feel of an old Hungarian coffeehouse.
