Use all that sunshine to explore the city’s pueblos blancos, relaxing hammams, and beachfront restaurants. Malaga is a great home base for playing the Costa del Sol’s world-class golf courses.
Why it’s a steal: You can fly to Malaga for a median airfare of $690 from December through March. Hotel rooms, on average, will cost you around $120 per night.
Where to stay: The Room Mate Larios has prime real estate in central Malaga, on Calle Marqués de Larios and the Plaza de Constitución, minutes from tons of museums and sights. Inside is a mix of Art Deco and contemporary decor; the 41 rooms start at $96 a night.
