19. Napa, CAGet More Info
Why go: Napa: Not just for wine lovers. This summer, enjoy the second-annual installation of the Napa Valley Wine Train’s Hop Train. On Mondays from June through October, guests can join the Napa Palisades Beer Company for a Wine Train takeover. You get two pints of local craft brews (like Loco IPA, Little Loco Session IPA, and 1849 Gold Rush Red Ale) on the Open-Air car with bar bites and stunning views of Napa Valley.
Where to stay: Avoid the crowds in Napa and Sonoma proper at Las Alcobas Napa Valley in St. Helena. The 68-room Georgian-style farmhouse was originally constructed in 1907 next to the Beringer vineyards (it still boasts direct vineyard views) and is within walking distance of the town’s historic Main Street.
