3. Atlantic City, NJGet More Info
Why go: Ah, the Jersey Shore. It’s inspired quite a few Bruce Springsteen songs—and really can be charming, so long as you know where to go (and avoid). This beach city is within driving distance to one-third of the country’s population (it’s an easy trip for Philadelphians, New Yorkers, and even Baltimore and DC dwellers). You can go straight from the beach to Vegas-like entertainment no matter the time of day—if that’s something you’re into.
Where to stay: Last summer, the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa became the first AC casino to accept a legal sports wager under New Jersey’s new sports betting regulations. The property’s first dedicated sports book and bar just opened: Moneyline Bar & Book and Level One Cocktail Bar & Lounge.
