Red Earth Farms
This 76-acre land trust in the rolling hills of northeast Missouri has a simple guiding principle: “Love the land. Love your neighbors.” Founded in 2005, Red Earth Farms has seven households and five homesteads with such names as Dandelion, Blackberry, Yarrow, and Gooseberry. At present, there are ten adult members, seven kids, and an additional six residents that share five ponds, woods, and a small creek. Although all the homesteads are spoken for, the community welcomes (both long- and short-term) visitors and potential new members.
