The Grand Canyon
The Place: Everyone should experience the beauty and grandeur that is the Grand Canyon at least once in their lifetime. And while the summer months are historically considered peak park season, it’s worth considering alternative times and months.
Beat the Crowds: More than 1.2 million acres, the Grand Canyon is massive. You’ll still be able to enjoy the scenery, just with the thousands of other tourists who came to relish in the same experience. If you really want to enjoy the park and you don’t feel like sharing, consider skipping the South Rim entirely and enter through the North Rim. While the North Rim is closed for a majority of the winter months, over the summer it provides some of the most scenic spots and trails without the fuss of crowds.
