10. Get buzzed in one of America’s greateset brewing cities (Portland, OR)
Ah, Portland. For many, it’s a city of hipsters. But for others (and probably the hipsters themselves) it’s a land filled with magnificent local beers, expertly brewed coffee, and endless supplies of flannel (and Nike). Trust us: Regardless of your opinion toward the ever-growing hipster population, taking a road trip through the Pacific Northwest and not making at least a pit stop in Stumptown would be a serious mistake.
Speaking of Stumptown, for those in search of one of those delicious, steaming hot cups of coffee the city is known for, Stumptown Coffee Roasters (which now has locations in a few other major cities) isn’t a bad place to start. If you’re looking for something a little boozier, stop by Hopworks Urban Brewery, which is decorated with salvaged bike parts and serves up organic-leaning (obviously) pub fare. Oh, and make the obligatory trip to the Nike Factory Store for discounted gear covered in the world’s most recognizable logo.Back to top
