The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel
This luxury boutique hotel constructed 90 years ago overlooks the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and, thanks to its proximity to the stars, has opened its doors to an impressive list of celebrity clientele. Film legends, rock stars, and royalty have all checked into the iconic property—but apparently, a few of them never left. Some say they’ve seen the reflection of Marilyn Monroe in the mirror of her old suite (taking a page from the popular Bloody Mary urban legend). Others have supposedly crossed paths with the late actor Montgomery Clift, whose presence is often accompanied by the sound a phantom trombone playing in the dead of night.
