Kick off the Ski Season in Killington, Vermont
Killington Ski Resort had the earliest open on the East Coast this year when its lifts cranked into gear on October 25 to kick off a longer-than-normal season in the Green Mountains of Vermont. When all runs are open (hopefully later this month), Killington will have 92 miles of snow-sports terrain spread across six peaks with the most expansive lift network and snowmaking system this side of the Mississippi. The “Beast of the East” is also gearing up for a big start to the 2016–2017 season as it hosts the Audi FIS Ski World Cup over Thanksgiving Weekend (November 26–27).
