Native American Scenic Byway
Where It Goes: This remote byway begins at the Cannon Ball River in North Dakota, and follows the Missouri River south over the state line into South Dakota. The route follows Highways 1806 and 24.

Where to Stop: The Native American Scenic Byway, as its name suggests, features rich Native American historical sites such as the Standing Rock Monument in Fort Yates of Sioux County. It overlooks the Missouri, and the resting place of Sitting Bull. At the Prairie Knights Marina is the Lewis and Clark Legacy Trail, which lets you retrace the steps of America’s most famous explorers.Back to top
