Neemrana Fort-Palace
Built for a local chieftain in 1464, India’s Neemrana Fort-Palace is actually fairly small by Rajashthani standards. Built with the large courtyards and gardens typical of the region, the fort’s size is the only reason it became a hotel rather than a simple attraction. Forts in nearby Rajasthani cities like Jodhpur and Jaipur were simply too massive to turn into functional accommodations.
