Jason Segel’s 2008 film Forgetting Sarah Marshall started with one of the most surprising “got ya” moments in a comedy film.

While Segel's character, Peter, is wearing just a towel after a shower, he drops it after getting dumped by his girlfriend, Sarah (Kristen Bell), for a full-frontal view of the actor. It was a bold moment in the movie, and to this day, fans of the film almost certainly still reference it when the movie is mentioned.

Not surprisingly, Segel revealed that he received some pushback on the viral scene while filming Forgetting Sarah Marshall. During an appearance on Vulture's the Good One podcast, he admitted the clip went through "pretty thorough testing," as Yahoo revealed.

Segel joked about the moment after it was ultimately greenlit.

"The big question in editing was, 'How often do you cut back to my d---?'" Segel said with a laugh.

However, during fan testing of the Forgetting Sarah Marshall clip, Segel admitted one specific person had the most blunt and, honestly, wild reaction.

"One guy, it's always one guy, raises his hand and they're like, 'Yes?'" Segel recalled. "He said, 'Is no one going to talk about this guy's weird d---?'"

Segel added that, "It had never occurred to me it was weird ever in my life."

That's arguably the most outlandish feedback I've seen publicly referenced from testing on a movie, but from Segel's comments, it seems to happen far more frequently than fans may think.

Regardless, Forgetting Sarah Marshall went on to receive strong reviews from critics and fans alike. It boasts an 84 percent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while holding a 76 percent score on the fan-focused Popcornmeter, which includes over 250,000 ratings.
