As Walt Disney World tries to deliver all guests the most magical experience possible, that means continuously updating the attractions offered at "The Most Magical Place on Earth." Unfortunately, that often results in some beloved attractions being replaced. And one of those attractions will be permanently closing sooner than expected.

The DinoLand, U.S.A. area of Disney's Animal Kingdom has become a beloved section of the park for many fans since it opened back in 1998 thanks to its attention to pre-historic creatures and its dino-themed attractions. However, as Disney World moves forward with plans for several new themed areas inside Animal Kingdom, DinoLand will come to a close in the near future.

With DinoLand closing, that also means the area's individual attractions like The Boneyard and DINOSAUR will also be closing permanently in the future. And it sounds like one of those attractions will be closing sooner than anticipated.

Previously, Walt Disney World said that the Boneyard would be open “throughout 2025.” However, Disney says that Imagineering is making great progress on the new land, which has accelerated the timeline a bit.

For that reason, Disney has recently announced that the Boneyard's final day of operation will be on Sept. 1, 2025, and the attraction will be permanently closed beginning on Sept. 2, 2025.

While that will undoubtedly be disappointing news for some guests and fans of the beloved attraction, it does not sound like DINOSAUR and the Restaurantosaurus will be seeing the same sort of change.

Walt Disney World says that both DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will remain open through at least the end of the year with a predicted closing date at some point in 2026. However, an exact 2026 closing date has not been announced for the attraction, the restaurant, or DinoLand as a whole.

If you are one of the many people who have grown fond of DinoLand and these attractions, now is the time to visit one last time.
